HCC Medical Coder Responsibilities
- Review submitted medical records to identify ICD-10-CM diagnoses, that map to a Risk Adjusted HCC and or RxHCC ensuring the documentation meets all CMS standard requirements for valid HCC Submission
- Code all diagnoses and services accurately and completely from the medical record in accordance with the ICD-10-CM coding classification systems
- Review medical charts under the diagnosis and procedure to ascribe the related CPT and ICD-10.
- Select and accurately record all appropriate records and data on assigned chart abstraction projects
- Participate effectively in clinical documentation improvement initiatives and team meetings to promote quality across all projects
- Comply with policies and procedures for confidentiality of all patient records and security of systems
- Additional duties may be required to meet client obligations
Desired Skills
- Experience in Coding specialty HCC coding
- Knowledge of the US healthcare industry is desired
- Good knowledge of client-specific process rules and regulatory requirements
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
- Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and procedures
- Good in oral and written communication skills
Eligibility Criteria:
- Should have minimum 2 Years of experience in HCC Coding / Risk Adjustment coding in a production-based environment
- Active certification from AAPC/AHIMA-CPC, CRC, CCS, COC is mandatory. CPC A candidates are not eligible.
- Minimum Education: Science Graduates, preferably from life science, Bio science, pharmacy, Physiotherapy
- Immediate Joiners would be preferred
Work Location: Mumbai
Mode of interview: Virtual
Salary Bracket: Min 15-25 % hike on current CTC and depends on the candidate’s resume and eligibility & skillset of their past experiences.
